Horrible 80070005 error

My enternet connection has begun to run at snails pace, I have checked what I would believe to be the obvious things. I tried to run windows update and I have a message "can't check for updates" error 80070005. I have researched and tried many solutions without success, a lot of downsloads won't work because of the same error. I am logging in as a administrator.

If anyone one has any ideas your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

virus scan your whole compuiter. Use Avast or superantispyware, not AVG or norton, they dont work all the time. If all else fails, I know, this sucks, but you might want to try a fresh system install. Wait first try to do a system restore to a time where it has not slowed down. Also try a different browser first.
 
Thanks I have considered a freshinstall if nothing works I will try your other suggestions first. Thanks very much:o
