Hot wiring a dell...?

I aquired a dell (skt 478) with a bad MB, and want to get it running for testing purposes. I don't want to spend $140 bucks for a new dell MB. I have a working MB (Machspeed). I modified the dell case so that the good MB would fit. Then i realized that the dumb dell case uses some funky proprietory all in one connector for it's power button, reset button, HD leds, etc...

Is there a way I can get around this, hot wire it, or am I looking at getting a new case?

I use a screwdriver to start up computers I don't have in cases ;) Probably not the safest thing to do, but I've yet to mess any up doing so :P

Do waht cromwell said but just extend the wire so its like 2 inches long or something and stick a switch in the circuit.

But yeah, you could always just buy a cheap case.

They sell power buttons for like 3 bucks, if you dont want to jump it.... just buy one of these. (its actually powr/rest/HDD, etc...)
