me and my partner are looking at moving to cornwall and opening a hotel. we are going to need some software that can help us run the business.... do you know of any hotel software that we can buy? we dont have the budget for super fancy packages. so far the only hotel software we have come accross is from welcome computers. any suggestions? I don't know if there's specific "hotel software" but if you're starting a hotel you'll probably need the basic things that most OS's come with such as a text editor and possibly a graphics manipulation program. If you're planning to store client details, which you most likely will, then you should probably use a database. The graphics manipulator MSpaint comes with Windows, but its not really very good quality, a text manipulation program MSWord and database MSAccess are both found in microsoft office, though they are fairly poor examples. If you wanted you could download Open Office which should handle most basic processing needs, you can also download free databases such as mysql, which are of better quality but not as rife, you could also use gimp as a grapics manipulator(if you needed one),i think there's a installation for windows, but gimp takes a bit of learning.
