how can i back up my CP??

how can i back up my computer?? i mean how can i do to put it back like it waz the 1st day i used it???
 
you can make an image, which takes a snap shot of your OS and all your apps and compresses it into one file. Norton Ghost would do the trick. You can back up images to multiple CDs or to an external or secondary drive. Then boot off the ghost boot disk and reimage your computer. It would wipe all data and take it back to the day you created the image.

There are other options as well over norton, but norton is one of the better ones out there. Ghost is a pretty solid product.
 
umm i don't really understand what you saying(am a little stupid on computer things)

i already copy all my documents in cds so what i need now is to like you said wipe all data and take it back to the day i just 1st used it.
 
What do u gonna try, Flick? U want to reinstall or just restore.
If you want to reinstall your computer, you will try norton ghost to back up your data and you can reinstall your computer.
If you just want to restore data, you can try system restore on Windows XP startmenu > accessories > tools > system restore
It will back your data to 1st u've used computer before, he..he..

i waz going to reinstall it but i've been reading the directions of how to reinstall and like i said before am a little stupid on computer things so i just want to restore it(i think is easier).

if i restore my computer it will wipe all data for example all my documents and the virus(if i problably have) ???
 
Sound's like he wants to start from scratch.

If you have the restore CD that came with your computer, or an OS (like Windows XP) installation CD, you should be able to format your hard drive and reinstall your operating system, putting your computer back to the way it was when you first got it.
 
do i have to download all the new hard drivers?? what do they do??


i know that ya thinking that am really really dum but yeah i am really dum when is about computers
