How can I check my video card "speed"

I want to figure how to check my video card. I look at videos on you tube and they have a good selection of 1080hd vids. If I watch them at a lower res. they show fine. when I switch to 1080 and full screen the video skips . I am using wireless , my computer has a line in connected to it but the line in connected to a small box that is plug into a electrical outlet. So it basicaly gettin its signal from a router. How can I tell if its the wireless or the video card?
Writing this I figure I need to download the video to my computer and then play it and this should tell me if its the video card? Any other sugestions?
 
It's most likely your internet connection, because the card you have (in your sig) is not a bad card at all.

You could always benchmark it with Geekbench or 3DMark.
