How can I get rid of a "Floppy drive A?"

My computer apparently at one time had a floppy drive designated "A". There isn't one there now but the computer still shows it as a valid drive. When I want to backup my MSMoney file on a flash drive, it only gives me the option of backing up to Floppy drive A or to the C: drive.

How can I get the computer to recognize any USB port I use as the Floppy Drive A?

Silly, I know. but within MSMoney there are two options to backup upon exit. One is designated to the C: drive and the other one is that stupid Floppy A drive. It is a pain in the neck to have to type in a USB location where the flash drive is to back it up on the flash drive and also have to type the location for the C: drive as well.

Can you lovely guys and gals help me get rid of the Floppy A? I doubt if you could find a floppy anymore.

Thanks so very much for your help.

thanks weatherman, but how do I get into the BIOS? I don't even know what that is. Could you think of me as blind and you are guiding me along? Thank you, lovely person!

reboot the computer then watch closely the screen. It will likely say something like hit 'F2' to enter the bios then just keep tapping the key. not hold it down.

What make is the PC? Each make uses a different key to get into the BIOS.

I think I remember HP uses F10, IBM uses F1 and I think Dell and ASUS use Del.
