How can I get songs off of my iPod w/o iTunes?

Okay, so a long time ago, I was at my cousin's house and decided to get some music off of his iTunes on his computer. So, he put the songs on a flash drive, and using another computer, I put the songs on my iPod (iPod touch 2g by the way) using a program called copytrans. But, when I got home, I could not transfer the songs to my iTunes library. Which leads me to believe that the songs aren't authorized to my account. And, if I had ever synced my iPod to my computer, it would of erased all the new songs. And now, I just got a new iPhone 3G S.

I need a program that will allow me to 'rip' these songs off of my iPod touch so that I can put them on my iPhone. And be able to sync it to the computer regularly, w/o deleting songs. PLEASE HELP!!!!!

You pretty much can't, I did it once and it was so damn annoying I ended up downloading all the songs again, it took me like two days to figure out how to do it, And when you finally do all the song names are like in some code or something so you by hand have to change every song name back, and is it even legal to do?

It thinks the iPod is a camera, so I can only look at the pictures on it. I wAnt to get to the place where all the names are like AJFK, XVDR and stuff like that. Any help? And yeah, it may be illegal, but I don't really care, I just want my 700 songs that I couldn't be without.

well it being illegal no one here can really help you, i will however give you some advice, if your not opposed to doing something illegal which im guessing your not, go downloa the songs again, trust me after 2 days of messing with getting songs off my ipod i gave up and went and downloaded them again, its much easier. but if you want to look at everything on your ipod the music are in hidden folders, and for the life of me i can not remember how to look at them lol

well actually it only displays the songs that are authorized. not the others. :( Why is this so difficult????? I can't even find my ipod in the 'my computer' folder now. f*ck.

UPDATE: I did it!!! I used a program called 'iRip' on several different computers.(since the demo only let you rip 100 songs, multiple comps were needed.)

WOO! :D
