How Can I Make A Cd Bootable?

How can i make a cd bootable...i found this wed( www.ultimatebootcd.com)
in a freeware software list that is posted in one of your threads.
I do the download fine, but when i burn the cd, it doesn't boot at all.
i think the problems is that i have to make a ISO bootable...but i really don't know what a ISO is (all i know about ISO is a big sign that they have in my wife works, LOL)

I have the ultimatebootcd, and I think I used nero to make the CD. Are you sure your BIOS is set to boot from the CD-Rom?

I did it first with NERO rom , ISO option ( it didn't boot)
and then with EASY CD CREATOR data option, (it didn't boot either)

im possitive sure that the options its set to boot :
1.- cd-rom
2.-floppy
3.-hdd

For example, you cant make half-life bootable because it cant do anything before the os loads. If you want to make a cd that has windows, antivirus software, etc, then you need to extract the boot image from the cd (which the program in that article tells you about) and burn that on a cd using nero (which has an option to make a bootable cd) it also has an option to use a pre-made boot image, but i dont know if that works. Other programs might be different, but thats how nero works.

Sorry, i thought i was in my first post, but any ways.

I found this link (www.ultimatebootcd.com) in a list of freeware software in one of your threads.
The thing is that i need to do a bootable ISO cd, in order to run UBCD (ultimatebootcd).
I tried with nero rom, using the ISO option, but it didn't boot
I tried EZ Cd CREATOR, using the DATA option, but it didn't boot

I really don't know what is a ISO, and don't know how to make a bootable CD either.
so my problem is How To Make A Bootable Cd with the UBCD (ultimatebootcd)
