How can I make it work???

Well yesterday I bought another 1gig of RAM of same speed and same company.But it crashes randomly.I can't play games.I then took out my older one and installed this new one but it didn't boot.My PC jus show auto detecting bios and rebooted again and again.Now again I am using only my old 512 MB RAM.So what can be the problem?Do I need to tweak my bios or do I have the faulty RAM?
 
Check the voltage requirements on the new stick. If it's standard then I'd say you have faulty RAM, exchange it for a new one.
 
Where did you buy the RAM from? I would contact them and get an exchange or a refund as the Random Access Memory you bought is very likely defective.
