How can I program a game to utilize a gaming mouse.

I have a new Logitech MX Revolution mouse that has several cool little bells and whistles that work with non-gaming related stuff but while playing a game I can't program the buttons to any commands such as switching weapons, alt. fire, etc.

installed the Logitech SetPoint software? (3.1 or so is the newest one iirc)
with that program you can enable a function 'game detection' try again rebinding the keys in a game with that option enabled.

and, on a sidenote.. the MX Revolution isnt a game mouse ;)

Yeah, I've installed the setpoint software and enabled that option already but it still didn't work. When I get into the game I go to the controls page and try to change a control command but it acts like I never even pressed a key. By the way I'm playing Oblivion(@2005) and Battlefield 2(@2002). Could it be just that the games don't support multiple button mice?

Thx

Battlefield 2 doesn't allow you to change many settings at all with key commands, if memory serves. Oblivion I'm not too sure about...

I would think that the revolution is better or as good as a gaming mouse.

Anyway someone define a gaming mouse, the G5?

Kent.
