How can I Rename a FAT32 Partition of a hard drive?

Hello everybody, I have a question that I've been struggling with since I got my external hard drive. I have a 1Tb hard drive that I split into use for my PC and my PS3. As such I formatted 2 partitions... One into the NTFS system Windows Vista uses and one into the FAT32 system recognized by the PS3.

I then had a hard time recognizing the drive on my PS3 until I realized that the name displayed is just a serial number or some random letters and numbers. I want to know how I can rename the drive's FAT32 partition in Windows Vista to the name I want to be displayed by the PS3. Is there any program out there that would let me do this easily? Anybody? :)

right click explorer then find the hd (usb).
right click rename. maybe usb_drive so its clear
which one it is.

Yes, but this only renames the NTFS partition that Windows recognizes, not the FAT32 partition. I'm looking for a way to display the FAT32 partition and rename it using a windows program.

You said you have 2 partitions. One is FAT32 and the other one is NTFS.Can you explain us a little bit better what EXACTLY are you trying to do???

READ THE FIRST POST, he wants to rename the partition

I know lol.But that is so simple. What's so big problem:D??

He can rename it like any other file or folder or simply write the new name right before he formats the entire partition using lets say...Disk Management tool.

If it's split into two partitions, it should appear as two seperate hard drives in my computer right?
