How can I run two monitors?

I'm thinking of getting a new graphics card in the next month or so and was wondering if I can run two monitors. I have on 19 inch Gateway monitor and another 17 inch Gateway monitor. Do I have to get two of the same graphics cards, use the new graphics card (will be AGP) and my old (PCI) MX420 graphics card or do I need to get one new graphics card that will allow two monitors? Thanks

Almost any new graphics card has two video out ports. So you can plug two monitors into the one video card.

Though it depends which graphics card. As you are getting agp not all support two monitors. Show us the one you are getting.

Not sure on which graphics card I want yet, so hard to decide. I was originally planning on spending between $50-$100. The two that I've found so far that I'm interested in are the Geforce 6800XT for $128 and the Geforce 6600GT for $98 from newegg. Don't know if I really need to spend that kind of money though. I don't do alot of gamming but when I do, I don't want any problems and would like pretty decent video. My system is mostly going to be for the internet, music, movies/videos but I want to be able to play some cool games too. Are there any video cards for $50-75 that would be decent? Will most of these video cards be able to have two monitors? I just know my MX420 is pretty lame and I can't even play Ghost Recon with it.

The 6800XT isn't great, it's basically a 6600GT with a higher model number and it's performance is sometimes even lower than the 6600GT's.
