how can i test a Game's benchmark??so help guys???

well everytime i check out a review of some graphic card. they tells me the benchmark of some games. what software can i use and test my own benchmark on those games??

i have 3dmark06 but it only let me run the 3dmark test. i can not select any of my own games and test the benchmark of those games. so help guys???
 
3DMark is a benchmark in-itself. It does not test other games. If you want to test other games, get something like FRAPS that checks your FPS or simply find how to display your FPS in the game(many games have this option) and get an estimate in your head :P
 
some games have built in benchmarks and other times you would just want to run the game and use fraps.
