Because of the CPU? I am just wondering because when the new GTX 300s come out I want to get the best single GPU card of the 300 series. How will I know if my CPU will bottleneck it or not?
How can you tell if a video card will Bottleneck?

Your GTX 280 is definitely being bottlenecked by your CPU, and the new 300 series will be even more so. Your CPU is much older, and only dual core. Another way to find out is get a program that monitors your CPU and your GPU, turn up the settings on a demanding game until your frame rates drop. If your CPU is maxed out and the GPU is only at 75% or less, your GPU is probably being bottlenecked.
