how come when i look at hdd on newegg everything is oem? when i build a pc dont i need retail for all the cables?
 
ok i did find retail but y do people get oem dont u need the cables? and i am building for first time should i got oem or retail?

Dawt. Have never gotten a new retail mobo without IDE cables (and others), even cheapy brands include them.

I had so many IDE cables I give them away sometimes. Just like heatsinks, I'll have 7-8 and just give them away. a year later...they all seem to pile up again! AH!
