cant i ? did i make mistake in buying them ?

You need to own a DVD-RW (Re-Writer). If your computer is old-ish, it may only contain a 'Combo Drive' (DVD-ROM/CDRW Combination). Once you have a DVD writer, you simply place your disc(s) (however, there are 2 formats, + and -. Most new DVD writers support both) in and then burn away like you did onto a CD.

it should say on or near the door to the drive, if it doesnt say Dvd-Rw or Dvd-R or something like that its not a dvd writer.
it should also say in device manager.
writing a dvd is basicly the same as writing a cd.
if you cant write to Dvd like you did cd then you may not have a dvd burner

you cant burn things onto a dvd through the windows wizard, you have to use a dvd writer such as CDBurnerXP which can burn CDs and DVDs for you.

hope this helps.

wow ! i love you !!! i thought my computer was awful and i was thinkin i needed some external device like a dvd burner, but i dont, wow , thanks man, love it

really helped me loads

i told my friend i did this without a dvd burner, just the program that i downloaded , and he said it was impossible to burn information to dvds without a dvd burner extended to your computer

but i did do it by just downloading that program

so do a lot of people know about that program ?? is it a brand new program thats gonna revolutionise the market?

your friend is right you cant do it without a dvd burner... you must have a dvd burner on your pc, but you cant use it to burn things unless you use a program like that program i told you about.

hope you understand that :S

glad my previous post helped :D
