how do I disable a motherboard integrated graphics card

I bought a new graphics card for my acer e380 but when I put it in the tower the system wouldnt work. I can only assume that I must have a motherboard integrated video card and it didnt disable on its own. can someone tell how to do this or direct me to a place where i can download the motherboard manual so I can figure this out.

You shouldn't have to disable it.

plug it your new one,

connect to psu

plug in dvi or vga cable into the new card, and other end to your monitor.

make sure you have software and latest drivers downloaded.

what card did you get?

Onboard video will hamper any card you install. What is the make and model board or prebuild you have there?
