How do i get a Full Size IE window

For some reason my IE window has started opening in windowed mode (not sure what else to call it) and not in full screen. Basically it still fills the screen but only because it is stretched too. Is there a way to change it so that it opens always in maximized mode?

I know it is a trivial problem really but it is one that has bugged me for a long time.
 
Stretch your window to fit and then hold down the ctrl button when you close out if it and the next time you open it windows will remember the size!
