How do i get my computer to where I can watch cable tv on it



just what it says lol

I have a desk in my room in the apartment ,

and my tv is the same size as my computer monitor and I rather watch cable tv through my computer and give my tv to my sister


I know this can be done
cause i know a guy that watches tv on his computer, I asked him how much it cost to get the stuff to do it , but he didnt know because his computer already came that way

as far as I know , our cable is analog ,
could be wrong , but I think that it is


what do I do just install it or what

I know nothing about this subject

would i be better taking it in and having it done


I have installed an ethernet card before
 
im doing alot of reading on this one

ATI HDTV Wonder


its for hdtv but also , it says it handles regular cable
and it comes with software to record ect. ?


anyone care to confirm the idea?
