How do I get my Firefox bookmarks from old to new computer????

When I installed Firefox it offered me the option of importing my IE bookmarks, but I took IE totally off my old computer because toward the end I was getting literally dozens of web pages opening automatically to show me spam.

Firefox didn't offer me an option of importing my Firefox bookmarks.

What would you do?

(I expect you wouldn't have thought Firefox was simply going to recognize you because you logged on to it... as I did. Sooooooooooo disappointed. :rolleyes: )

Wait, what - you had two versions of Firefox?

Can you go into your old Firefox > Bookmarks > Export? Then in your new Firefox > Bookmarks > Import?
 
Okay, not so easy. When I click on Import on my new computer it only offers me the IE option.

When I click on Export on my old computer it opens a box where I have to know where to find them in my computer, which I don't....

When exporting just save it to the desktop.

As for importing... when you go Bookmarks>Organize Bookmarks>Import and Backup, does it not have the option "Import from HTML"?
 
Hi, Thanks. I'm not sure where I saved it to, but I saw it when I was looking at stuff in my new computer.

No, I don't think the html option is there.

I started trying to make my email work, and did that for almost three hours without success, so maybe I need to try the bookmarks thing again. I had decided that I almost never use 90% of my bookmarks, anyway.

I have some deadline legal stuff I have to do, then I'll come back and see if someone can tell me how to make Thunderbird work...

You might be using an older version of Firefox that doesn't support importing bookmarks... that's really the only thing I can think of that would explain why the option doesn't show up. Try going to firefox.com and downloading the latest version.
