How do I get WIndows to login automatically?

With my other computer when I start it up it logins to Windows automatically and I do not have to click on my name. How do I get a different computer to do the same? It only has one account.

Well can I rename the "administrator"? How do I transfer data to the "administrator" account? If I delete my current account will I loose all my personal preferences and data?

and btw... wit my other computer I have an account separate from the administrator.

There is some way though User Accounts in the control pannel... However, if you just download TweakUI, I beleive that has an option to log in automatically.

Download something called TweakUI,theres a setting in there that will allow you to log onto a specified user account right away without clicking it.

EDIT:The_Other_One already posted it lol.

I don’t need to download any program because my other computer can do it and it does not have any special programs. Guest is disabled.

Ignore all the people that say to get TweakUI, yes it ma do it in there, but is easily done in windows

START

CONTROL PANEL

USER ACCOUNTS

CHANGE THE WAY USERS LOG ON OR OFF (3rd item down on the list)

uncheck the box that says "USE THE WELCOME SCREEN"

make sure that the box named "ENABLE FAST USER SWITCHING" is ENABLED

And thats it, reboot and as long as you dont have any passwords on your account it should be done fine....

I had to resort through TweakUI because i couldn't change it back the way you just posted dragon, thought maybe he'd have the same problem.
