I just got a hard rive specifically for games, but I dont know how to uninstall then re-install Half Life 2 on the other hard drive! I see no option for this! HELP!

you need to select custom instal in the setup, then you can choose the directory where its installed. (or,.. well, at least i could, but then, that was the first steam game i've ever got myself) so it could be that it puts it automaticly into the stam folder, wich would make you have to reinstal steam onto the other HDD aswel

HL2 installs onto the drive you boot from. It has a default directory to install to where you then log onto the account you create or already have. You should plan on using the additional drive for things like game saves and mods you can download for some games as well as demos. The other option is to install Windows there to boot that drive for gaming purposes. As a secondary boot drive all games would be installed there to isolate the primary.

..........Considering that I have about 30-40GB of games, I want to be able to have primary HDD for system stuff, and Secondary for games only, since it takes up so much space. And I have no Idea why or what you mean...

It's simply called dual booting two drives where one is the primary for desktop apps, business, system files, etc. while the other when booted sees mainly games only installed to it. But that still doesn't work here. With three different versions of Windows on three different drives here they all see just about all of the games installed to each even while the sata is mainly a storage drive with XP Pro just happening to be running there. Custom installing to a differnent folder is one thing. But to another drive if allowed will see your games actually run slower due to the increased access time.

well, i figured it out...I had to uninstall steam and then reinstalled everything and that worked. thanks any way lol.

Well if you see problems like performance drops and stalls. To run it from Windows on C you would have to redo everything all over. Of course with Vista on the second drive here I had to install there to see how it would run. It did but EP1 did have a pair of locks in two places during the game. Hope it works out.
