How do I locate someones IP address from their email?

I looked at the header of several emails, a few I suspect are the same person but one I know is a different person, and the IP addresses I am seeing are the same between different emails. If one of these is supposed to be the senders, which one is it? If none, how do I find it? This is with my GoDaddy account.

The top number (68.17*.**) is just about the same as both my other GoDaddy account and also my personal Gmail account as well as other emails from different email sources. The bottom number (209.85) matches several other emails. This is why I am so confused.

It depends on the email's headers. I run a forum that uses the phpBB forum software, and if I send a mass email my IP is part of the email source. So it is possible that a person's IP is part of the email source, but usually not always.

There are ways of getting one's IP though. Why do you need it?

It is simply to verify that it is from the same person or not. This person/these people are sending threats (not physical but still threats) to our support email. Based on a few things like writing style and some of them using the same phrasing as well as frequency of the emails and a few other things leads us to believe it's the same person, but if we find out this really is from a bunch of different people then we will need to adjust how we handle it as a company. Not asking for any illegal reason, and I genuinely couldn't care less where they are even located, their name(s), or anything like that.

At this point, I would just report the emails to Google. Not sure if they'll do anything, but it's worth a shot.

I guess it could be worth a shot. I'll gather all 13 of them now (Seriously) and get a hold of them.

If anyone has any other ideas, please let me know, because he is still going on about it.
 
Out of curiosity what kind of threats? If it's anything substantial, contact the authorities? If not, block them and move on?
 
I wish it was something that substantial so we could get the right people involved but it's the standard stupid customer "threats" you usually hear about; I'm going to make sure everyone knows about this. I'll tell everyone how horrible your company is. Everyone will know how much this company doesn't care about their customers in a tight spot.

Problem now is he is keeping true to his word and he is now commenting on everyones Twitter post that mentions us which is causing problems. I already contacted Twitter about his harassment and multiple accounts pretending to be other people but Twitter found him to be breaking none of their rules and won't do anything. You may not consider this to be anything special but if he is determined enough, with enough time and accounts he could potentially cause irreversible damage to our reputation and sales.

I'm hoping that if we find proof it's the same person we can shove it in his face and get him to stop. Or at least have the proof to show our customers and followers that it's all the same dipsh- ...person.
 
Might threaten legal action to him, even if it's just a flex with a lawyer on your side? Scare him off with a defamation lawsuit or something.
I know that kind of stuff is tricky, used to manage social media pages for my last company.

It could be worth a shot but ultimately that is up to the company owner. In your time as social media manager did you ever deal with people like this? If so, can I ask what you did to handle the situation?

It was a pretty small scale operation. When we had issues, either on FB or something like Google Reviews, we'd reach out and pretty much do what they asked in order to remediate and get them to shut up. Was a computer repair shop and my boss frequently took a loss just to shut down the bad PR, frequently arranged deals where they'd go back and take down or edit reviews to be positive. One of our competitors at the time, and a way bigger company, had this issue and they deleted stuff and even temporarily disabled their FB pages. They were notorious for being scummy though.
