How do i max out my downloads?

Don't know if this is where i should post this so move the thread if you have to.

When i download something(not necessarily torrents) i get about 800kb/s down when i should be getting atleast 1.5mb-2mb/s and at some points it goes up to 1mb-1.2mb/s but quickly goes down to 800kb/s again.

I was wondering if there's a way to max out the downrate of my downloads since it clearly can go higher than it is right now.

It all depends on the server your downloading from and how busy they are. It doesn't all depend on how fast your service is.

Plus. some website is too far away from home which is why it would sometime slow to download. One time i tried Canada website while i was in USA, it is slowest to load.

Some places you download from max the speed you can download at. My capability is 310-320KB/s but normally I get about 250 in a lot of things and it just doesn't access all your speed.
