How do i move my OS to SSD

I recently bought a SSD and i was wondering how i would go about moving the OS onto the SSD. The problem i have encountered is that my OS is on a large drive that has 2TB with 1.78TB's used. So when i have attempted to move the OS the program wants me to move the whole hard drive, annoyingly my SSD is only 250GB. Any help would be hugely appreciated.
 
What OS are you using? If windows 7 you can download an ISO and create the installation media.

Please explain this. You don't download windows onto your ssd, you install windows to your ssd. On a fresh install, your desktop will be empty except for the recylce bin.
