I Have a good build
CPU: AMD phenom II 965 BE
GPU: xfx ATI radeon 6870 BE
MOBO: asus sabertooth 990fx am3+
RAM: partiot G series 1333 i think
OCZ 60GB SSD - WD 500GB HDD

It seems as if it hasnt been running as well as it used to. Ex (dirt2 i used to get 60 frames on mostly ultra and now it caps 30 frames at high????

I'm wondering if there is anything i need to setup or change in bios or anywhere that would change my performance (preferably without overclocking)

i need advice!!!

how many programs do you have running? msconfig might be a good place to start.

I have looked into msconfig but i guesss there isnt much i can disable. i recently did a fresh install when i got my ssd.

also when i boot it looks as if it goes through boot more than once

Posting the exact same thread in multiple areas is not the way to get an answer.

As for your framerates, if you have enabled vsync, and the system can't do 60fps, it will drop to 30fps. With triple buffering it might drop to 45fps, if it can't do 45fps it will go to 30fps, etc.

First thing I'd do is upgrade all your drivers to the latest version.

Also which PSU do you have? If you aren't getting enough frames for your liking, you could just grab a second 6870, install the CAP (crossfire) profiles and you're away, assuming your PSU can handle.

I have merged 2 of your threads into one and deleted the others that had no replies. There is no need to post your question in multiple subforums, one is enough.

Thanks and sorry for asking more than once lol. I used to be able to get good framerates and now im not. i plan on upgrading to the new HD 7000 series when they release, a 6970/90 or an nvidia card. which one???????
