i use windows xp professional. deleted them through the recycling bin. i can see the file in the registry via search>regedit. anyway i can get them back?
I believe the registry only holds an index of the file that is residual after deletion. In other words, the registry entry is not the file. The only way to recover deleted files is with third party software (assuming the hard drive hasn't written over the data). There are freeware programs about that does this, such as this one. Just do a google search if that one isn't right for you.
are there a lot, or only a few? I am pretty syre you will be able to find it in the local content... But, let me look around, I am sure there is some kind of un-erase program.
