How do I reinstall a windows compoonent that has been uninstalled???

How do I reinstall a windows componenty that has been uninstalled by error?

Specifically, I would like to reinstall paint, the drawing application.

I have no idea how it got uninstalled, in case someone needs to know that in order to help.

Wicked easy
Put your XP disk in your optical drive.
Go to Control Panel -> Add or Remove Programs -> Add/Remove Windows Components -> then highlight Accessories and Utilities -> Details -> Accessories -> Details -> put a checkmark in Paint
Then keep clicking OK til you're out of Control Panel.

goto the control panel, open "add or remove programs" then on the left select add or remove windows components

If it was removed "correctly" you should be able to go to Add Remove programs and find it within Windows Components. if it was totally deleted, then you might have to find the program elsewhere and copy it back, or just find a replacement...

No need, it's for my girlfriend's laptop.

Hence i don't know how it got uninstalled, not my computer...
