How do I remove the heatsink from the processor?

I newly installed this on a motherboard but now im sending both back because im not impressed with the performance. Time to get something better.
Will i need some sort of solvent to remove the paste from the heatsink/processor?

Yes. Denatured alcohol or an Arctic Silver cleaner kit.
