How do i split my hard drive into halfs

is there anytype of program to split my hard drive, i run windows xp and i want one half to keep like progs and that and the other i wanna keep all my mp3's and stuff like that and i wanna put a password on one half, so can u guys plz help me how to split my hard drive in half
 
since you're already installed xp you'll need a third party program like partition magic and thel like. cuz before you install windows xp you can do it during setup.
