How do I update my BIOS?

According to a friend of mine, updating my BIOS would solve several issues ive been having with my system, including overheating, wireless adapter issues, etc.

I believe this is the link to where I'm supposed to get the downloads for my system:

http://support.asus.com/download/Download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us

product: notebook
series: U20 series
model: U20a

But this is where I'm lost. There are 44 files and I don't know if I should download all of them or just specific ones that I need.

Also, im not exactly sure how to download them. Is there something specific that im supposed to do in order to download the files and get them to take effect on my computer?

Thanks!

so... do i just download all 44 files individually? and put them on a blank flashdrive so that i can do the thing that bios 101 says?

Sounds like you need to use the BIOS method. have a look in your bios and look for anything related to bios updating/flashing. there might be a little utility there.

I can't see what you're looking for. both links to the asus site go to the main download page

Yeah, i figured that might happen which is why i listed my "product, series, and model" for you to insert in the respective drop-down boxes. The site will then show you what can be downloaded.

Can i use cd-rom for update BIOS? otherwise i read from others web page said for update BIOS need a Floppy A. I dont have space for Floppy A.
