IDE and SATA can both work on the same mobo...it just depends which u decide to use...

also i've heard about cables that have SATA and IDE on the same ribbon....i don't know if this is 100% true.....but just wut i've HEARD!

otherwise i don't understand your question and need a bit more clarity
