How do u get antivirus on netbook as no cd drive

How do u get interent security on netbooks?? as they dont have a cd drive to antivirus software into,,,,
 
Download through the internet for example AVG's website you can download there program straight from there for free aswell there are alos some other AV's you might want to try such as..

AVAST
ESET
AVIRA

ok so is there not anyway u can get the well know ones like Kaspersky ? or is AV just as adiquite?
 
You seem to be posting lots of topics about netbooks!!!

Judging from your previous topics your leaning towards the linux side of things and with linux you don't actually need antivirus as there are very few viruses for linux.

oryte ok im not to kean on linux lol im more interested in xp just wondering if u ca nget kaspersky on xp netbook
 
If you have a Desktop and a Flash drive then maybe you could transfer the files to the USB Drive and then exchange the USB flash drive to your netbook and install from that way?
 
probably, most antivirus companies will let you download them. you will defo be able to put things like avira on as they are free downloads.

Let me google that for you comes to mind!!!

Personally I use free antivirus and it seems fine, if you are careful with what you download you should be ok with free stuff, no antivirus is perfect and with a commercial antivirus you still have to be very careful with what you download.

I personally use Avira and Spybot.
