How do u overclock?

hi, i want to overclock my AMD Athlon XP 2600+! but im not sure how to do it
i need sum advice on how to do it, if ne one can tell me i will b very grateful!!

lol, Pc Chips SIS-M848A, i dont know how to OC!

Well i dunno what options are available for that mobo and chipset however there might/should be the option to change either the multiplier or the fsb ... now if that's not there, you're probably out of luck :S

you can overclock prety much any chip. i overclocked my Dell Axim X5 PDA from 300mhz to 400mhz...but after about a week it shutoff and wouldnt turn back on lol. so i had to hard reset it, lost all my data, but it still worked. so i sold it to my mom for a new gitarre

Its not so much the chip but the mobo, ram and psu that limit one's ability to OC

i have this asus,intel p4p800s that has this bios that does intelligent OC just turn it on to 10%,20%or 30% of the OC like but the bios stilll warns u it might become unstable but hey is newbie friendly lol.

Yep! The nice Abit, ASUS and MSI boards have that clean and simple auto-OC feature
