You could also wait for the prices to drop or wait for Conroe to come out.

i dont want to wait anymore, ive been waiting for a new computer for about 2 years now, and my current computer isnt going to last much longer, its starting to make real funny noises.

How do we feel? Jealous. Most any new rig will blow mine into the weeds! :D
Tom

lol, thats what im looking for!

PS - Quick question about the speakers. i currently have the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 set up, since the sound card can handle 7.1 do you think i would be able to hook up both the Promedia 2.1 along with the ProMedia Ultra 5.1? Use the 2.1 set up as an extra sub and speakers 6 and 7.

It looks great, except I would recommend going with socket AM2 instead of 939. Price will be about the same, more or less. Good luck with your build.

Wait till July 23 thats when the new core duo comes out. That's only like 2 weels away anyway. It's not that long of a wait.

Supperior set-up. Especially since x10 is coming out and you will want a gpu that is compatible with that. So there is really no since in going all out on a video card that will be obsolute pretty soon. (Even, though it is getting that way right now. :) 7950gtx.

Me and gmen talked it over and decided to make a few changes. He is going to wait until the AMD price cuts on 7/24, which means he will be able to squeeze a 7950GX2 into his budget. He is also going to get a WD HDD.

Though did you think of direct 10 coming out? When is it supposed to. Being that the video card will be obsolete. ????? Like go with a 7900gt and save some money?

He is going to get a 7600GT for now, and get a new DX10 card when Vista arrives.
