How do you Collapse HDD Partitions

I'm about to add a 2nd hard drive to a computer, therefore the need for partitions is no longer needed. Is it possible to reform the two partitions back in to one partition, with losing any data or having to format the HDD?

Cheers

I'm afraid no... But I may be wrong. I think your only choice is to transfer it to a external drive or a flash drive...

Of course you can. You can use programs like Acronis or Norton Ghost. You can merge and perform a range of tasks to your partitions. I think its called Acronis True image or something.

very simple, in windows right click on my computer, manage, disk manager, and right click on the main parition, select Extend and that will combine them with no data loss to the selected partition,

ok, thanks, will try this soon

That will only work if the disk is setup as dynamic, basic volumes can only be resized with a 3rd party utility.
