I just finished building my first computer (quite an experience!) anyways.....I have cable internet as of right now (I am on my old computer atm) My internet works here of course though when I put the ethernet cable into my new computer I cannot connect to the internet. I go to that internet steup thing and it says setup a broadband connection and asks me for a user name or password I never had to go through that with my current cable connection. I dont even think broadband is right unless thats what cable is although Ive always called it cable..then pardon my noobness. Now do I have to contact my ISP and they set it up on their end? Or do I need my ISP software? Or what...
How do you connect to internet with new computer?
