How do you highlight everything with one click on your mouse?

When downloading stuff, i want to upload that stuff again but have to right click on every icon, i find this annoying and would like to just click once and highlight all of my icons at one time, how do you do this?
 
Click on the top one. Press Shift, and click on the las one. You can also use Ctrl to highlight more then one at a time.
 
Yep, I always highlight the first one and press shift+last icon. Also, you can drag from the bottom up on some stuff.
