how do you know if your on a premium website?

What do you mean by premium website?
If you mean a website where you have to pay to view it then, there's no such thing (without signing contracts and actually signing up for the content).
Some sites secretely download diallers though, which then try to make your connection to your phone line dial a premoum number, which will then leave a large number on your phone bill.
Aslong as your system is secure and up-to-date though, you shouldn't have a problem with diallers.

All premium websites will have a link called "Members Login", "Clients Login", "Members Area", "Premium Clients" and so on, you will just know from the main page if this is a premium website or not, because they simply want to sell, and their main page will try to sell you what they offer, so you will obviously know from the first visit, don't worry.
