I am a noob with a dilemma. If anyone can help thanks. Well I accidentally stumbled upon something I al 100 percent against on my good ole 4chan board, /b/, and I want to kill my hard drive so Im using dariks boot and nuke on it. I vow never to even return to 4chan. It really pisses me off how I fell for some stupid picture that turned out to be something much different. I don't know anything about "making" a recovery disk, but I'm going to copy my anti virus, music folder, and stuff like that onto a cd. is that good enough? I dont know anything about bios and drives im guessing i get bios back when i reinstall an os and I will get online once I have my os and install drives again. But yea, how do I copy my os, is it really as simple as downloading windows 7 from the internet onto a disk and putting the disk in the computer once wiped and booting it and installing it. Long question sorry, but I need some help guys, thankyou.

Is your system a store bought computer or a custom built pc? If store bought, it should have came with either a recovery cd or a recovery partition that you boot to in order to reinstall the operating system. If its a custom built machine then you should have the windows installation cd. Why are you wanting to reinstall windows? Maybe we can help you to fix your issue if you are having issues.

Are you saying you are infected with a virus or malware? I can help you clean it up.

I clicked on an image on 4chan that was pornography and I don't think it was legal. And I'm afraid I could barely sleep last night I think when you click on an image of that sort its the same as downloading it and I do not want any trace of that shit on my computer. I bought this laptop from bestbuy and the os so i have a cd somewhere in my house then. If u can give me tips on the wiping and reinstalling os process john i would be greatly thankful

It's only saved as temporary file if you clicked on it. Just download and run Ccleaner to delete your temp files.

Download, install and run Ccleaner. Open the program and click on run cleaner. This may take a few minutes if you have a lot of files. There is no need to reinstall windows.
