How do you uninstall a bad patch for a game?

For call of duty 4 i dled the new 1.5 and since hardly any servers are using it yet i cant play in any of the games. How do i unistall this patch and go back to 1.4?

Without an uninstall option for most game patches you usually end up reinstalling the game to revert back. Each patch will modify a game where that is generally seen.

Any patch is a software patch seen for pc. Something like a gaming system would need to see a firmware update by swapping out a chip or main circuit card if upgradable there.

As PC Eye said, unless the patch lets you remove it then the solution is to reinstall the game.

It's the same with older games like Soldier of Fortune II where you can put on a 3rd party mod for sounds, weapons, etc. whether or not a patch is required. To restore the defaults the game has to be installed fresh again. Sometimes an update patch for pc games will need to see that as well.

Now for something X-Box 360 using more of a pc type interface the patches are optional updates similar to what is seen in the add/remove or Programs+Features where those can removed. Mods for pc games change the programming itself in games and often see new entries pointing at additional files added.
