how do you use your mouse?

i have the habit of lifting the mouse if i have to move it very far. but now it feel wierd ever since i have to temporary use the old balled mouse cuz my optical one is acting up it just doesnt feel the same again. i also tried wireless mouse but the battery pisses me off and sometimes when i boot the computer up the mouse just wont move and the wireless led isnt on! lol

What is under your laser mouse? is it a shiney or plastic surface? sometimes it wont bounce back right and screw up the movment, try using it on a FLAT black mouse pad.

Hmmm... when i have to move mine a long way i tend to lift it to, as draging it along the floor by the cord just doesnt cut it

I use a ball mouse at work(cheap-skate boss's) and a wireless optical at home. Haven't had any probs adapting to either of them!

Try getting the same Mouse i have... Logitech LX700. Its optical & cordless but the best bit is that the reciever is also a docking bay for the mouse that charges it whenever the mouse is sitting in it.
So far i haven't had any probs with it.
