How does my first build look?

New Member
I will be using the PC mostly for work. I will be running a Virtual Machine on this (as a guest, not a host) and also things like CS3, music, movies, Office applications, browsing, etc. This PC will NOT be used for gaming. I already have the OS, mouse, keyboard, monitor, and optical drive(s). I would like to stay around $500.

Nice catch there. The i3-540 is definitely better than the Phenom II X2-555.

Juniper, go with the CPU and MOBO jevery recommended. And the rest of your parts as well. Looks great!
