how does this lappy work?

Eh it's alright. I'm not a fan of IBM. What's your price range? You might be able to find something better for the same price or lower.

up to $550, maybe $575 w/o shipping
please give me some recommendations from ebay, only buy-it-now preferably, and it has to have non-DOA guarantee

Alright. What specifically are you looking for? CPU speed, ram, hdd, screen size etc? I'll look around ebay for ya.

sorry not much of a laptop guy, but might buy the d600 i just posted tonight :D

The Acer seems legit to me too and I've always liked Acer. The Dell is a good way to go and it SHOULD have the new battery. If you want, you could ask him/her for the serial number on the battery and look it up on Dell.

The M's run great. I have a Dell Inspiron with an M and it seems pretty reliable and fast to me. All of those laptops should have everything you need.

Here's another UNBELIEVABLE DEAL on another website!! Check it out, I still can't believe it.

I might buy one myself actually.

but how do you know? it's almost half price! that's my first preference, but if not that d600, more opinions please? want to buy tonight!

Yea I mean we're all going on the seller's word here. He seems to have decent reviews. ANY of those laptops could be stolen. Ask the seller a few questions if your curious. Treat it like you're buying a car. Ask why he's selling it for cheap and where he got it and if he has the receipt. If he's unwilling to answer or the answers sound fishy, it may be a good time to back off.

yeah i asked him a few questions couple hours back
he has a pic of the receipt, but it doesn't have the price or anything, it is just the model info
maybe i'll just go with the d600, those have an option to have 2 batteries run at once correct?
also im covered up to 2,000 with the d600 and only 200 with the acer due to seller reputation

edit- why should it have a good battery? if it's dead, does dell cover that? probably not?

oh well that would explain a lot
so I think I am going with the d600, what does everybody think?
i have to wait until morning, because I want my paycheck to clear first ;)
