i have been looking for a good sized hard drive for my computer, and i found a great deal on one on ebay (160 Gb 2.5" HDD starting @ $.99). i wouldnt think much of it, but there are like 6 of em and the seller claims theyre all in their packing. all the info provided is copy/pasted from the manufacturers website. i would provide a link, but if this deal is good, i wanna keep it to myself.
so, do you think this is too good to be true, or should i go for it?

Can you supply a link to the seller? Other wise how can we tell?

I have never heard of anyone counterfeiting a HD. That would be way to hard to do. The most they could do was relabel the HD to make it look like a more expensive one.

Or they are selling returned HD's as new. But otherwise?

i looked at the seller; he is 100% positive at 111 sales, but all his sales are baseball cards....and his name doesnt comfort me: "turtlesexx"??

I would contact the seller and ask any him any questions you might be concerned about.

I looked up the seller and it looks legit. But you know this is a notebook 5400 rpm drive right? In a desktop pc that would be one slow HD to install.

lol, ya, but ima lappy man on a budget

It's a starting price of $0.99, if they are actually real then expect the price to climb pretty substantially.

It will not stay that price.

It will increase substantially.

Its a Tatic used by many Power Sellers

Start the bidding at $0.99, It attracts ALOT of attention.

People Book Mark It.

Get all excited and bid early.

Wait till the last 3 minutes, then quickly bid. This will stop everyone else being able too out bid you in time.

Thus winning the item :D:D:D

you must not be very familiar with ebay. most listings start out at 99 cents. how much are you looking to spend? name brands aren't THAT expensive. i got a 500 gig samsung for 100 on newegg.

I wait until the last 15 seconds to bid. Try to snipe it at the last moment. 3 minutes gives someone else to much time to beat your bid.

Ahh, Im Assuming you have Broad Band.

I have Dial Up.

I need 3 minutes!

Seeing as by the time it actually puts it through, there is about 20 seconds left anyway . . .

Oh man, it sucks to be you! I would rather smash my computer than go back to a dial up connection. I still shudder thinking about the days of my 14.4k dialup connection when I first went online in the mid 1990's.

I have a 9mbs cable connection. And loving it.

I Cannot Get ADSL Broadband :(

I don't want Wireless (too Expensive, They want $120 For 512kb/s with a 4 gb download limit, Telstra)

I don't Want Satillite (too Dodgy for gaming, Takes half a second to get too satilite, half a second too come back, thats a second of lagg)

When I bought my house, one of the must have things was that it had internet cable access. I passed on a bunch of homes where it was not available. That's how bad I wanted a fast connection.

So consider moving! :D
