today my new P180B case just came in the mail. i did a test fit in my little corner of the office and the case is a lot bigger than my last one. my question is how far back from the wall do the case needs to be for good circulation

i have all my stuff in an office with table lining the back wall and 2 corners. so basically it looks like this

____________
___/______\__
__/________\_
_/__________\
_|__________|
_|__________|
_|__________|

my part is the top right corner and i have about 4 or 5 inches to bottom of the desk and about 6-12 inches from back(around 12 if i put it in the diagonal to the back)

what will you be doing with it? gaming? because normal comouters don't create that much heat, so 2" usually does it. but for a gaming computer, usually about 4"... good circulation only means that the air isn't blocked by anything. if you have 4" the air coming out of the back of your case has a little room to move, therefore making circulation. (4" is optimal, i only have 2" and i game HEAVILY... my computer only ever reaches about 145F.)

ok so close in hte back is not the problem. i am gonna have the air be sucked in from the front which is kind to the left of where i sit and is out from under the desk

will it be fine

one more question. how much can i overclock a X2 4200 with the stock HSF

Yes, you can overclock with the stock heatsink. It just won't cool as well as a third party cooler, so watch you temps under load. :)

what should be good temps underload for overclock

and i can tell from windows what my temps are right, all i need is speedfan or watever its called

If you dont have that much room, turn the back fan to low and turn the top fan to high, this way, you won't need that much space at all :)

well i set all the fans to Medium before i have a thrid party put it together(mom dont trust me to do it) so ill jsut try it for now
