So im debating on how far i should overclock my Pentium D 3.4 Ghz. Its clocked at 3.47 Ghz right now and i kno i can push it further how far should i oc. I want to score a little higher on 3dmark06 score its average about 7,500 right now. Do u think there would be anyway to break 10,000 with wht i got now?

as long as you have good cooling i would go for it.... 3.4 is damn good to start with anyway...think it will go 3.8ghz?just see how far you can get it to post....then bring it down a bit...whala lol

these are gd processors, run a little bit hot but there ok as long as you have powerfull cooling, a 3.4 is awsome on its own but if you must then it will probably go to 3.8 or beyond, imagine it at 4ghz!

Thnks for all replys now at 3.7 Ghz so far stable but u never kno. I looked in bios at the temps the cpu is @ 50 C and sytem 52 C. This was after playing a game. This OC is helping out my 3dmark06 score it went from 7,400 average to almsot 8,000. Also are these temps pretty good i kno they are a higher then before ocing they were at about cpu 45 C and system 47 C about.

Don't push your luck to far

:P Don't push your luck to far. As you just might need to buy a new CPU $$$$

So far so good raised it to 3.75 Ghz been stable for a day while doing alot of gaming and temps are decent. If i buy a couple more fans I think i could get it to 4.0 Ghz (which would be a strech but possible lol. Also i took out the panels on both left and right side of the tower to get more air flow which has lowered temps by a few degrees. About the voltage i cant raise or lower em only the memory voltage i dont need to because my bios or cpu not sure which one raises and lowers as the clock goes up or down. So voltages are auto for some reason. Thnks for replys.
