I'm new to this, but I read some guides, and have been gradually bumping up the speeds on it in RivaTuner then running 3dMark06. I'm now at 700mhz on the core clock, 1750 on the shaders, and 1050 (2100) on the memory clock.

What do you all have? Is it worth it and safe running constantly at these clocks? During testing my temps maxed at 76. Does that mean I could go further?

There is also the option to underclock for standard 2D or low power 3D. Do you all do this?

And should the box "Apply overclocking at windows startup" be checked?

I don't think you should consistently run your components at those overclocked speeds. For me, I just find the sweet spot and save the profile, I have a Striker Extreme motherboard so that allows me to save the BIOS settings, so I have a profile for normal use and one for gaming. I guess you should find the sweet spot first, make sure that the settings are stable, then save it, write it down on a piece of paper if your motherboard does not have such a feature and use it only when you need the performance.
