I made a thread on this, best to do a search before making one... all i have to do is find the thread

I'm not sure how correct it is, because the worlds fastest typer types at 150 wpm for 50 min (37,500 key strokes).

wooo... :(

6 mistakes and 38.59wpm 168.46cpm

well, maybe not too bad for a forreign language. I do however think that if you can type what you think it goes faster, than retyping something you read at that moment.

True, it's correct. I don't know how fast that world's fastest typer, but if he can type only 150 then he's not the fastest typer. Period. :D
Also, it's true that people can type even faster if they don't have to look at the screen to see if they made a mistake or to see what word is next. But then again, I'd be even faster, and although English IS a foreign language to me, I still type fast.

i can remember here in aus on tv they had a contest to see what was faster txting on a phone or morse code, i think morse code won... i'll do a youtube search tommorow

Lol it's natural. If you know Morse code, all you have to do is write _ or . and it's naturally faster. Mobile phone, especially some sorts like Motorola L6, have such a hard keyboard and it takes ages to write a message.

its not really natural at all, since every single sign requites 3 .'s or _'s ;)

so with morse you actually have to wait too, because else you'll only have .'s

I thought he said the Morse code contestant was typing on a computer while the phone one typed on the mobile phone. Seemed logical and he didn't explain well enough. It's impossible that someone would actually make a competition where one will type a morse code on the phone and one the usual code...no way, that would be pointless...unless the phone code typer was a 3 year old child

That means...I was right. It's natural.
