How good is this video card?

GT 230M that comes in a HP Laptop.

APB says it requires at least a GE 7800 from nVidia.

Think the GT 230M is good enough to compete with the 7800?
 
What is the GT230M comparable too for desktop graphics cards?

What about a Radeon 9800 Pro, Pentium 4 @ 3.00ghz and 1mb of unknown ram.

Goal is to run APB without any lag.
 
Ummm, I'd say a G210/possibly low end 220. Or ATi, a 5450.

Don't you mean the system has one Gigabyte of RAM? ;)
I swear P4 didn't exist when computer's only had 1Meg...
